so this year, after a lifetime of basically no interest whatsoever in sports of any kind, i have been watching sports. i don't know why, i'm not dating someone who's a sports fanatic or anything, it's just been happening. and i don't even feel like im necessarily more interested in sports, either. i think it's the same concept that keeps people watching "days of our lives"--once you are invested in the characters, there's some mysterious force that keeps you checking in on them, even if the story is sort of boring and the same stuff happens over and over again.

this is a roundabout way of explaining why i am going to post a picture of giants pitcher tim lincecum.



OMG LOOK HOW CUTE. i love this guy because, for the first time that i can remember in my entire life, there is a baseball superstar that doesn't seem like he's a hundred years old to me. this has always seemed to me like a sport dominated by older, vaguely out of shape dudes who look like they could be, if not my dad, then definitely my uncle or older, unattractive cousin who does construction for a living and smokes tons of weed.

but finally, we have this guy...not really a prodigy because he is actually twenty six, but still really talented and young LOOKING. its so nice.

i've also been following the gamecocks, and although we are having a great season my parade is always rained on by the fact that the oregon ducks are currently ranked number one in the country. wtf ever, that's a really gay mascot oregon. like donald duck in packer colors
